FINAL INSTRUCTIONS

Race Briefing: (Compulsory) 6:45am for Both Events (Sprint & Ultra)

Start Times: Midmar Dam Slip way SPRINT: 7am ULTRA: 7:15am

Wetsuits: A decision on wetsuits will be taken at 6am on race day, as per TSA rules

Tri bars are allowed for both events.

Drafting: NO-Drafting will be allowed in both the Sprint & Ultra event. Officials will disqualify you if you draft.

Cut off time: ULTRA EVENT ONLY. 1pm (6hrs) Swim 1hr / Bike 2hrs45min / Run 2hrs15min

Swim Caps: Competitors must swim with the Swim Caps provided in their Race bag.

Transition Area: The Transition Area will open at 5:30am by the TSA Officials. Your bike, helmet and swim cap will be checked when you enter the transition area. You will not be allowed to exit the Transition Area with your bike until after the last competitor has finished. The Transition Area will close and everyone must exit at 6:45am for race briefing

Transition Bags & Equipment: Competitors must use their big Green Transition bags given to them at Registration to put their wetsuits, cap and goggles into, before exiting onto the bike route. We will in no way be responsible for any loss of equipment during this process.

Cars & Supporters: NO support or spectator cars will be allowed on the R103 / Midmar Road due to the Athletes safety. Anyone found driving on the route will result in their athlete being disqualified. The Sprint and Ultra Route is spectator friendly and family and friends are encouraged to watch the competitors from the entrance gates of Midmar Dam (5min walk from the start) There will be a water point here, where competitors will be allowed to hand over special requirements and bottles.

Run Laps: (Compulsory) No Laps

Sprint Athletes must collect a coloured run band at their 5km turn point. (5km athletes turn at special Turn point)

Ultra Athletes will need to collect a coloured band at far (7km) water table (inside Midmar Dam)

Prizegiving: 1pm ALL Winners will need to be present at prizegiving. No-one will be allowed to collect any prizes other than their own. All lucky draw winners will need to be present to collect their prize on the day.
